The 10-week journey that takes you from stumbling over your words to speaking confidently in any situation.
HERE’S WHAT WE’LL BE COVERING:
Session 1: OVERCOME YOUR FEARS Let go of your inner critic, find your why, and build on your strengths.
Session 2: EFFECTIVE MESSAGING Spend time in your audience’s shoes and design your message with them in mind.
Session 3: VOCAL TECHNIQUE Speak so people listen–breath support, vocal variety, pause, no filler language.
Session 4: STORYTELLING Be irresistible through the art of storytelling.
Session 5: PRESENCE Command the room with executive presence and body language that looks natural and assured.
Session 6: AMAZING CONTENT Don’t cut the details. Create inspired content, edit for clarity and brevity, and begin and end strong.
Session 7: EXTEMPORANEOUS SPEAKING Nail unscripted or extemporaneous speaking with back-pocket strategies to stay calm and on point.
Session 8: CONTENT ORGANIZATION Don’t start with powerpoint. Organize your content first.
Session 9: BE YOUR BEST SELF Be bold and advocate for yourself and others.
Session 10: NEXT STEPS How will you use YOUR voice?
(Sessions meet twice a week on Zoom for 90 minutes. All sessions are live and interactive. Each week includes: one session for learning new concepts; and one session for practicum and feedback. The course will meet Mondays and Thursdays 1:00 PM (CT)-2:30 PM (CT) and begins September 30. An option for evening sessions is also in the works.)

I’M JENNY RIDDLE
PROFESSIONAL STORYTELLER, KEYNOTE SPEAKER, COMMUNICATIONS EXPERT
And here’s what I believe:
When I was eight, I stood in the middle of our family living room with its green shag carpeting reciting my lines for our 3rd grade presentation that night.
I had three lines: “Hear ye! Hear ye! Hear ye!”
For my dad, no utterance was too small. So, there I stood delivering my lines as he coached me on eye contact, body language—“always gesture above the waist”—and projecting my voice.
And then he stood before me and said, “But before you even say your first word, stand up straight, look out at the audience, and……pause.”
From that first speaking experience, I realized that the key to communicating with confidence begins with a set of tools and practice strategies—and someone to guide you along the way.
My life has been defined by developing and courageously using my voice and helping others to develop and courageously use theirs.
In 2003, I started my own performance business in which I bring best-selling biographies to life—in character. For more than 20 years, I have crafted scripts and performed for thousands of people, portraying the lives of famous and historical people like Jackie Kennedy, Julie Andrews, Catherine the Great, and Barbara Walters, to name a few.
In 2014, I became a keynote speaker, trainer, and communications consultant. My work includes interactive workshops for individuals and organizations of all sizes, from small nonprofits to large corporations; keynote addresses to teach, motivate and inspire; and one-on-one coaching on public speaking, courageous communication, and strategic storytelling.
With 30 years of experience as a performer, speaker, teacher, and coach, I’ve cultivated the most effective communication strategies to engage and inspire people, and I love sharing these strategies with others.
I’ve seen first-hand clients’ faces light up when they untap the full potential of their voices; I’ve observed the transformative power a well-told story can have on an audience and on the person telling it. And I’ve seen clients transform from terrified to confident speakers who emanate authenticity and authority about topics they care deeply about.
