Sam Kemp is struggling to keep herself, her out-or-work husband, and her sarcastic teenager daughter afloat. After working out at the gym and feeling bad about herself compared to the other women, the “yummy mummies” as she calls them, Sam grabs her gym bag and hops in the car with her co-workers on her way to an important sales call. With her depressed, unemployed husband at home, her job is all important.
As she opens her gym bag to put on her one-inch comfy black shoes, all she spies is a six-inch-high pair of Christian Louboutin red crocodile shoes. She realizes she’s grabbed the wrong bag, but with her impending sales meetings before her, all she can do is slip them on. The unexpected jolt of confidence they giver her makes her realize something in her life needs to change.
Meanwhile, Nisha, the owner of those shoes, is pissed off that she has the wrong bag. The two women’s lives, one glamorous and rich, the other struggling to make it all work, eventually intersect. The ensuing drama and revelations make this a book one you won’t be able to put down.
It’s a delicious and fun read that will keep you riveted, laughing, and nodding in acknowledgement. You’ll love it!
